I am thinking of buying some LEDs and putting them in my A/C Vents and elsewhere all over my car!! Are they hard to install or what? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of buying the ones from Randode.com...

 

Ok, single leds will be fine in the air vents but the footwells need more than that, i tried it. Use the search button, its your friend. You can find all you need to know about different ways to wire them in different places. Also you need to know how to solder.

 

I can solder, I am just not electronically smart... What ends go to what on the switch and all... Will randodes be able to work in the air vents?

 

sorry dont know what your talking about when you say randodes but any led can run off of a 12V system along with the right resistor, search led resistance calculator on google. they you'll find what ohm resistor you need. Switches go on the positive. Again use the search its magical.

Hmm.. I've never found a DIY or a good guide for air vent leds yet...

 

I installed LEDs in my grab handles. I did a little bit of research and followed a DIY found here on the scionlife.com site. It still took a little bit of "figuring out" but I got it done and love it.

I used this little site here, http://metku.net/index.html?sect=vie...calc/index_eng , to help me with the correct resistor. I had to wire two resistors in parelle to achive the correct wattage and still maintain the correct ohms.
