Default I am a retard. Please help

Yeah hi... I've been checking out this website for a while.. thanks for all the good info.

Anyway, this weekend I had a friend help me install an Infinity Basslink in my 2 week old xB.. everything went well until I put the negative battery cable back on. I tightened it a little too much, and broke the little bolt.

Then, being the genius that I am, I went to Pep Boys to get a replacement bolt instead of the dealership, but they didn't have the right size. I talked to one of the guys there, and he said I should get this gold-plated terminal kit.

So I got it, chopped off the stock negative terminal connector, and put this thing on. Looked like it would work, but the wires are really loose, and I'm a little nervous that this thing could screw up my car.

So should I take this thing back to the dealer and try to get a new battery cables or new connector, or is there any type of battery cable upgrade? Screwing up something is a good excuse to upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I don't know how to post pics, or I would.

Take the car in, get a new battery cable put on, leave the car alone.

get some zip ties and duct tape.

they're the problem solvers of the world.

if you still don't know how to fix everything with these. you really shouldn't be touching your car.
