I HAVE A PROBLEM!!! Audio
UPDATED
So I finally decided to put in my own system (Yes I do know how to install audio equipment) Two Audiobahn 12's with a bandpass box, two amps, and the RCA converter to hook it up to the stock stereo. I finish running the wires up the sides, pull the stereo, solder everything, tape it all up, hook the head unit back up, put in the fuses to test and suddenly...NOTHING HAPPENS.
Here is the Update and the play by play
1. I cut the speaker wires from the stock HU to the speakers
2. Attached the speaker wires from the HU to the LOC
3. Attached the opposite end of the speakers wires, (the ones that are not attached to the HU) to the speaker wires that go to my 4 channel amp.
(All of the above was soldered and taped closed)
4. I attached the 2 sets of RCA's to the LOC for the four channel AMP in the back
5. I ran the speaker wires, remote, power, and RCA's to the trunk.
6. The two sets of RCA's are attached to my four channel AMP for the speakers with the output going to my two channel amp for my subs.
7. The power goes through a capacitor and splits for individual power sources for each of the Amps
8. I attached all of the speaker wire and the RCA's to the amps etc and went to turn it on and... nothing.
The Head Unit turns on and everything works except there is no sound and it is saying that it does not recognize the IPOD which has never happened before.
So far I have tested the speakers by plugging an IPOD directly into the 4 channel amp, they all work, I have tried new RCA cables in case mine were pinched, mine work fine, I have changed out the LOC in case the first one was blown, the new one did not make a difference, I spoke with an installer and he said that it is probably because there is no signal coming out of the HU. Any ideas on how to test/fix this problem?

sounds like somethings grounding out all the speakers like a pinched wire, but you say you checked that, so i dunno. When you turn on the ignition, do you hear a small pop through one of your speakers?

do not hook up the remote turn on to the power antenna...if this is what you hooked up to then your system will work of 1 sec when you turn the tuner of your radio on then it iwll turn back off. You have to hook the rem turn on to the blue with white strip off the back of your after market radio.
