Default Interior LED lighting for dummies?

Is this project hard? I want to do some lights under the dash, but have no experience with this stuff. Can someone "nutshell" the process? I'm ok with car stereos, but the whole resistor thing is throwing me off.

Thanks, Aaron

Check out http://www.randode.com
I just installed his cold cathode lighting last week in my xB.
Only took me two hours and that was by myself with NO auto install experience.

Specify a "12 volt DC type LED's". You can purchase 1/4 watt 150-250 ohm resistor with leads on them. As you look on the LED's , you will see that one of the leads wire is longer that the other. This is your (+) positive side and the shorter lead is the (-) ground. You must solder the resistor on the longer lead side of the LED (+). This is where you hook-up the 12 volt on to. The shorter of the leads is where you connect to the negative side of the battery or chasis ground of the vehicle. Make sure that the leads on the LED's do not touch each other. You can purchase a circuit board also to make sure that they do not touch. Have fun.....I can see your car BLING..BLING already!!!

You could also buy pre wired L.E.D. at auto zone piolt brand. They come 3 in a pack for like $9.99 and they have a nice color to them. However when you wire them up make sure to use the same gauge wire that comes with the led to connect them. I think the smallest speaker wire auto zone sells is the right size like 18 ga I think.

Default LED

Its about a 1-1/2 hour process you have to pull the seats out , but everything just plugs in....if youre talking about the factory kit.

I can mail you instructions if you need em.

someone was saying to check out besthongkong.com LEDs, but it looks like you have to buy the LEDs one at a time. How do they go together (rows), and with resistors. How many should I buy to do under dash?

Skip it and do cathodes, they're much brighter and will cost you less.
