^^^ Don't keep mods secrets from each other!

Anywho... xA... door locks... arm out of the window... no problem! For me, this mod was cheap, easy, and fast. I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING!

no "how to" pics. that guy is on here too (which is hwo I knew about that site)
That's funny. I did this over a year ago, and figured others did it too, but nobody ever posted about it. Then Ronnie liked it and made this DIY.

I never thought about flipping the white plastic piece over though
I did it 'cause I thought it looks cheap/cheesy to have those big pulls jutting out, and like to ride with my arm out the window on warm summer nights.

In regards to the battery being dead, what difference does it make how tall your door pulls are? Unless your windows are down.....but then, who the heck leaves their car parked with the windows down!? And the power locks require VERY little power, I've had my battery dead (where the car won't even start) over a dozen times and they still worked every time.

Amen. Yes, Robert was the one I got the idea from, so all of the credit goes to him. I just had the time to do the write up. Plus I take pitures of every mod I do. I mean every little step, cause my wife likes to scrapbook, and she has been doing one from the moment I got my box.

Hope you have your cellphone with you if your batt ever dies with you inside, windows up, and doors locked.

Of course you could always break out a window, I suppose. :D

Looks nice, but I'll pass this time.

Refer to what WagenMaster said:

But if they really won't unlock, the is a release in the hatch that will open it.

On another note, most of us think of the positive or negative before we do these mods. We chose to do them on our own. I just posted the DIY for those who wanted to do it, and didn't know the exact steps. It would be nice if those with negative comments could keep them to themselves.

If your battery totally dies while you're inside your car, having the doors locked and windows up, you deserve to suffocate and die.
In fact, you deserve a thump on the head for even posting that.

I ran across the original thread to this, I knew I saw it, starts half way down the page, from all the way back on May 2004.

that post from 2004 is written by the person that told me how to do it....
you guys were so nice to him that he is now banned...
i hope that none of you guys think that i did this without taking every aspect into consideration..... all of my ***** are low enough not to hit the funny bone but high enough that i can still pull them up if i have to, when i pull them up it pinches the tip of my finger and hurts bad but i CAN get them unlocked if BOTH of my batteries DIED at the same time while i was in the car.... i am not going to do a mod that will get me stuck in my car...
and so far tons of people have tried to get them unlocked manuallyand nobody except me has been successfull in my car. it is impossible to get them unlocked if you have long fingernails tho.
