JL AUDIO 6W0
Back to the matter at hand...
What you are looking for up front is a better mid-bass driver. The 6W0 is a true subwoofer (just small). It definitely will not work in an infinite baffle application. The inductance of the voice coil will not allow it to play frequencies above 100Hz with much authority. The coil itself works like a x-over (you should still use an x-over). So if a 6W0 plays up to about 100Hz and a tweeter kicks in at 5k Hz, there would be a huge gap in the spectrum. If you want to increase your low frequency extension, sealing off the doors will go a long way. The easiest way to do it would be to cover all the access holes with HushMatt (or similar damping material). If you isolate the front and rear wave of the speaker, there will be less cancelation and a lot more low frequency (audible). I installed VR650-CSi in my TC. I made an inner fiberglass panel, but I wont go there, you have already established that you don't do fiberglass!
Hiring someone who is experienced with glass can yield some very creative results with the 6W0. Good luck with it!

You should keep in mind that the JL w0 is a the worst subwoofer in the JL lineup. Even a quality company has low end products. The w0 is the uber-"budget," if you can say anything jl is budget, woofer. There is better for the money.
There is no "worst sub". There is entry level, but it still has the JL Audio name on it. Sonically, the W0 and it's big brother the W3v2 are identical. The W3v2 can produce more output if it's greater power handling is taken advantage of.
The W0 line (now replaced with the W1v2) was designed by the same team that designed every other woofer. The W1v2 offers greater power handling than the W0, and greater excursion capability than the W6AE which was the flagship model for 8 years before the W7.
If we all drive Scions here, it doesn't mean we drive the worst cars built by Toyota. If you believe this, I have to introduce you to my 2000 Celica GTS!

Well this issue has been resolved. I have ditched the 6w0 idea nad am purchasing a spfr enclosure. (thanks vanillarice) I might go with componets up front but not JL. Im not a fan of Jl anyways but they are the only ones making a 6.5" woofer.
I will probally go with Infinty Perfect componets and my ne deck is pushing 50x4 and that makes the stock Pioneers sound so much better witht he proper tuning.
I do appreciate evryones feedback and ideas. So here is the game plan
12" Alpine Type R (assuming mounting depth allows it)
Pioneer Premier 860MP (installed)
2 gallons of liquid Edead.
That ougth to do it and if im not satisfied by then, Infinty Perfects.
What do ya think

ugly duck, good luck with whatever you decide. PM me if you have any specific questions about JL Audio if you would like to avoid the non-sense.
To my Memphis & JL brothers,
You should already know that most of the guys on here
will argue Audio points to NO END... and they don't even work in the Industry,
much less FOR THE INDUSTRY. Sadly they all could use this forum to educate themselves, but won't. I sell both of you guys and BOTH ARE GREAT PRODUCTS!
By the way, I'm Casey from Summerville,SC
Peace....

ok First off sorry that I said your low end stuff is crap memphis audio its just that the mojos are sooo nice and yet the other stuff just isnt as nice as to what other companies lower end series subs are. Second now that I have finally installed my audio system in the Tc and have friends that have other stuff i can compair, now what do I have
1 10" hcca orion in a ported box with a (crappy)profile 1200 california amp powering it. I had a friend of mine compair his 2 12" JL w0's with a kenwood amp(I think he said it was a 600w amp)to my system. He said that my 1 10" orion was a lot louder than his.
