I will be getting my Scion tC, later this week and Im pretty pumped. I been trying to decide what my system will be. First and foremost if anyone knows of any sites that have reviews of Car Audio, I would apprciate it, I been looking on eCoustics.com. I work at Circuit City and get a huge discount on Infinity, Polk and now 70% of ALL Kicker products. When I first heard we were getting Kicker I was like well I'll get Component Speakers, Amplifers (Mono & a 4 Channel), and a SoloX sub. But the more I have read it seems Kicker has poor sound quality its all just SPL. I want quality so now Im leaning towards my originial choice of Infinity Kappa Perfect Compoents, and JL Amps (300/4 & 500/1) and a JL w6v2. What do you all think?

 

jl is more about sq and kicker is more about spl.... I still think it sounds good, its all about what you want, but if you want both, get the jl w7's I've heard that the SoloXs are good too

 

Ive sld kicker before and working with Infinity and JL

Kicker has a set of compenents that cost $1200 and sound pretty damn decent.

Kicker comp vrs subs are good for for small airspace and sq
Kicker Solo Barics are for SPL
Kicker Amps are all rated at better then what

Infinity is more of a stock car system and their amps suck see alot go bad.

JL has better comp. sets but I just like alot of other companies over JL

 

I'd kill for that CC discount on those JL Amps (same as you chose).

 

Unfortunately I don't get a discount on JL, we don't sell JL. I've heard JL Audio before and I love it so much that I wouldn't mind paying retail price.

Didn't think CC had JL... I'm sure my buddy would have mentioned that. I'm going a little unorthodox on my system. Polk Audio speakers (componenets and subs) and probably Sony Amps. Most people rag on Sony, but from what I hear at CES, the Sony Escalade was quite impressive.

Getting them cheap enough I can sell them and buy different amps if I don't like them.

 

Anyone been to any of the Tweeter stores in PA. They are the only major store to carry JL Audio and I wanted to demo them in person. Around here in Altoona you really can't sample anything other than Circuit City ____

JL JL JL.......go with everything JL.......amps, subs, and components.........i like JL's components better than Infinity Comps.
