What a cool thread. I just found it today, thanks to those who 'brought it back.'

To those who did want it to die, why? Regardless that it's 2 years old, it's information that still works, and that isn't widely known.

I wouldn't have done a search for this, cuz I didn't know it existed. At the same time, not many of us have the free time to browse EVERY single thread to find info we didn't know before.

Give it a rest, and thanks for the tips.

No, I'm still tryin to figure out how to change the text from Scion to something custom. I don't have a manual for my radio. I need to go to the dealer and have them get me one. And yes I looked in the glove box with my owners manual.

yea why is it that tc mode has the flatest sound? i think xb mode actually is using all 160 watts that scion claims the radio puts out, when i installed my sub prior to changing off tc mode, it sounded like i didnt even put a sub in....after i almost blew my sub it was pounding so hard, a SE member showed me this at a show and then put out 133.9db with a 300 watt 10" sub

OH HELL YEAHH!

To those who wanted this tread to die, to quote the great Cartman "Suck mah *****!"

I didn't get a manual like many here so I couldn't figure out how to turn off the volume dimmer and it was drivin me frikken nuts to have the the volume go down when I slowed the xb down. IT'S THE BLOODY ASL!!!

Imma take care of that asap.

You tha man dibbz.

YEAH! This is nice to know! Had my box now for 7 months and I've been wondering the whole time how to do that! Before I got my xB I test drove one at another dealership and the guy did that but didn't tell me how he did it!

I'm going to have to "bump" this one as well. My xB has been at the "tc" for 1.5 years--until I found this thread. I was about to replace the radio to help with the sound. Now I don't have to.

Someone should make this a sticky!

I'd say it didn't sound bad on TC but it is alot clearer on XB.

Man ! You know I rode around about 8 months before I knew about the SSP. Adjusted that and it sounded like a whole new system. Now checking out this info, mine was set for tc, which is the worst sound. I find that xB setting is best.
I'm getting in some JBL GTO series speakers this week.......Can't Wait
