Default Latest mods: DIY VIP underbody LEDs, rear view camera*pics*

The LEDs costed me about $30 shipped, the installation took me an afternoon because I kept screwing up on the wiring and had to rewire everything 3 times.

The camera was installed in the hole where the rear wiper was.

Picture is in black and white because it's dark outside, you can see that to the very right you can see some colors due to the lights of the apartment.

This is exactly what the camera was looking at.

What took the longest was wiring the camera from the rear to the front. I've never took off the headliner before so that took me a while to figure out. Taking out the whole front console was no problem because I took it apart several times already installing the navigation system.

Very nice. Before this gets moved to ICE, I wanna ask: How did you power up the Led's and run the switch? I also plan on doing this as well pretty soon, and I suck at wiring this stuff.

He linked the ebay seller that he got the camera from in another thread....search for it. It's just a screw type back to it with a nut on the backside.

there are alot of high and low quality cameras on eBay, pick one that fits your budget, just remember that you get what you paid for

just about any of the cameras on eBay without a infrared LED ring around the lense should fit the hole no problem, ones with the LED ring you need to drill out the hole just a little bit

I wired the LEDs to the parking light wires connected to turn signal bulbs on the front so whenever I turn on the lights when it gets dark the LEDs light up as well.
