i just finished wiring my amp using a hi lo RCA kit. im still going to keep the stock headunit. there is one thing that i cannot figure out. where on the stock HU does the remote wire go for the amp?

 

If i remember corrrectly, I think I used the power antenna wire as the remote turn on, when I was using my stock head unit and a hilevel input on my amp/.

 

will that actually work? doesnt the antenna only get powered when you switch the setting to AM/FM?

went outside and looked. there is 2 blues. one on the left and another on the right?

 

Why is there a question mark after your sentence? Anyways, the chart says one of the blues is for the negative on the Front Right speaker so if you see a light green cable right next to it, I would make an educated guess that the blue wire is for the speaker and you should connect to the other blue wire.

 

The remote goes to the gray wire. I just wired in a Sony XPlode 1000watt amp into my stock HU. Works great, pushing two Pioneer 400w 10s.

 

^^^ grey wire is the right wire... one the bigger of the two plugs
