i just bought a NRG wheel and hub kit. but i do not know how to install it. i have taken the air bag out and the wheel off but what about the black ring with the air bag wires. if i take the ring off the vsc and trac lights come on. is there any way around this.

you have to pull it out with some pliers... i used needle nose pliers... and pull it out towards you with some real force...

there is a part of the black piece thats sticks out right? pull that towards you. take a pic if necessary so i can see where you are at...

 

the black piece is flat except where the wires come out.
