So I went out to dinner with a friend of mine.. he's always driving something fun (he works at a import car dealer) so he picks me up in a 740iL and on our way home i noticed he turned on the lights or it was darker im not sure.. but the bimmer had a soft red glow coming from the interior door handles and had a couple on the roof just forward of the rear view mirror that cast a very soft red glow think aircraft cockpit. i've seen this on alot of german cars and i've got the itch.. i was browsing oznium.com and was trying to figure out which lights will provide a soft amber glow (i want it to match factory color) and of course will be easiest to install. im totally clueless when it comes to interior lighting.. i did a search but figured my best bet was to ask about what i want to do exactly.. so, i want soft lighting in the door handles and to put a couple on the roof over the front seats. any suggestions would help. if anyone has this already pics would be awsome.. 3mm prewired amber leds, 1 in each handle, and 5mm for the roof. the superflux would be to bright. you can pull the power from the harness in the door that plugs into the door controls, theirs one wire that has power when the key is on, but then theyll always be on, however you want it tho.

 

the 740 interior lights your talking about has a **** and you can adjust the brightness or dimness.
show us if you get it done =) . Soundz pretty cool.

 

How difficult is the wiring going to be I think I want to put an led in each pocket that you pull the door closed with. I don't mind if they are always on as long as they are off when the car is off.

 

I used a volume **** to change the intesity of my lights in my oh S*it Handles. it worked out nicely

 

I have an int. light kit that covers the vents under dash and seats they change 7 diffrent colors and has a few diffrent flash paterns it also flashes to beat of music e-mail me for more info

 

I 1st noticed that in a buddies Lexus SUV back in 04', from the ceiling. I thought that was the coolest.....
I have an 06' 5 Series and there are night lights all over that billy. 2 in each door (handle & door pocket) and 2 from each overhead light (front & rear).

I put 2-blue ones over each front door pocket and one in each rear door that glows to the floor. Still contemplating adding them to the door handles and center console.....
