Default Neon Light Installation!

I am new to doing my own electrical mods on my xB. i was wondering how difficult it would be to install a couple of neons to one switch. What would be some of the required equipment i would need. I have a switch and the neons but i need some technical info about were to tap into a power supply and how to connect the fuse holder. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Randode is the expert in this area. Talk to him. You may want to try the electrical forum.

It's not difficult at all, but you're going to want to scrap your neons and get some cold cathodes. They're brighter, longer lasting, more durable, and quieter.

Exactly...if you have basic know how its not that difficult. And definitly change/sell those neons for some cold cathodes a big plus for me was the size factor on them, almost half the size and a lot brighter. PM randode he has prefab one ready for install and if your in the area he can prolly do the install quicker too.

just my 2 cents,

The cold cathodes are a form of flourescent lighting. Neon is a gas. Figure the rest out on your own.

Cold cathodes are stupid inexpensive ($6 or so for 2 with inverter, www.svc.com) and, perhaps more importantly, made of plastic that won't shatter/break.
