Perrin ShortShifter Installed.... My Review.
I just finished installing the Perrin shortshifter in my xB. Let me start off by saying the install was incredibly annoying. It was way more difficult than any other shifter install I've ever done. Toyota did not intend for the stock shifter housing to ever be taken apart. After fighting to disassemble the housing for an hour I finally got it apart. Reinstalling the new Perrin shifter rod was very easy after that. The kit comes with risers for the entire housing assembly which was nice. The throw is much shorter now and the Perrin shifter is fully adjustable so if I get tired of the setting I have now I can simply change it. I feel like the shifting is more precise and once I get my weighted shift **** I will be extremely pleased. I highly suggest this mod to anybody thinking about doing it and the Perrin kit is well worth the little extra it costs over their competition. I've always loved Perrin from my Subaru days and Im continuing to love them with my xB... I'll post some pics when I get a chance probably tomorrow.
