Default PIE aux adapter

I connected my sirius sportster to my head unit using the PIE adapter. For some reason I have to turn the volume up on my head unit way up to here my satellite radio. The audio output from my sportster is already turned up all of the way. Anybody else have this problem, or know how to fix it?

do you have the ssp settings set to tC? if so, that mode is very quiet.. xa or xb would help.. just hold the ssp button down til it says "car type" then you use the volume control + - to move it to the other modes..

the other problem can be that you have a bad patch cable going to the PIE adapter from your sporster.. have you tried plugging a walkman or cd walkman into the adapter and see if that's louder? if those work, then i'd say try hooking in some headphones to the output of the sportster, if it's low as well.. then i'd say you have a bad sportster..

try those things and let us know what happens..
