I am thinking of going the full 9 yards with this one and do the backup camera, voice control, XM, etc.

1. Has anybody mounted this unit in the front dash? when the screen is in does the cover go down?

2. Where did you run the wires, hide the components?

3. Is the dealer installed XM the same unit the Pioneer recommends?

4. Any creative ideas for the dash space using this 1/2 din unit frees up?

5. How do you like this unit, does the voice control work well?

Be sure to post pic of your system when you get it done.

 

It will probably be close to impossible to put any in-dash fold out screens in the Tc and still have the door close, due to the fact that you have to have the radio set so far back in the dash to get the door to close, but then the screen can't come out far enough to angle up very far.

 

I'm gonna disagree with that one man, but I can't guarentee anything.

I suggest you definetally do some measurements first, before you buy anything.

I personally would opt for the fully indash stock look (like the eclipse and the kenwood units) instead, but that's just me. Fold outs are kinda cool in a futuristic sort of way. Whoever invented them was a genius.
