PIONEER single disc, change color?

I know the 6-disc player comes with the ability to change the lighting color of the display but, does anyone know how to mod the single disc (standard) system to have a different color display?

Swap it for a different head unit or tear it open and solder new LEDs in place...

I think we're pretty much stuck with orange

anybody tried opening it up and changing the led? whats the size of the led? how do i open it?

I tried. I had my radio in pieces! I took a blue sharpie and colored over every single teenie-tiny LED on the radio circuit board. All that did was dim the brightness of them...they still came out orange! :? Talk about frustration after all that meticulous effort!

Now I'm going to have to take it all apart again and try to wipe the stuff off w/a q-tip and some alcohol b/c the radio's a little too dim at night. Oh well...it was worth a shot.
