Default Rear window issues

I have a friend that has a first gen xB and all of a sudden his rear windows will not go up or down. He has tryed different switches and nothing seems to effect it. Both rear windows did it at the exact same time. Not like one window did it and then the other. Both at the exact same time. Anyone else seen or heard of this issue?

I actually had the exact same issue and it still isn't fully resolved neither of them worked for a few months and then all of a sudden the driver side passenger window started working again. I tried the other side but still nothing so I tried swapping the switches to see if that was it but still nothing. It sounds like the motor runs but no window movement. I figured I would try and get ahold of another motor and see if that fixes it.

I went out and took the panles off and got them working again. I didnt really do anything. You can hear the motor clicking but no movement. Then all of a suddne they both started moving again. So we will see. Glad to see someone else has seen the issue.

Just for the record. There is one 30 amp fuse for all the windows in fuse location15. Not for front and rear or anything like that.

trying checking the drivers master window switch..the drivers side switch is the main switch that controls all the windows..if that switch is faulty..it wont allow the ohter window switches to function proplery..so even though u can change switches on those doors..if the master switch is not operating then the others will not work also..

i had an isuue with the one rear window not going down. took it to the dealer and they claimed that it kind of just adhered to the mouldings from lack of use(sitting in the sun). never have had problem again so i dont know if that was really the problem.. good luck.
