Yea I know you have to take off that plastic cover at the top where it is connected to the headliner and then I guess there are just screws under that. I have yet to accomplish this task though.. lol

BoughettiXB, if you are into piddling with your xB I would suggest getting the Repair Manual, it's not cheap but it explains things like how to remove the rearview mirror, here is a pic from it. You remove the cover by popping it out with a flathead screwdriver with some tape on the point:

Somebody at Toyota of America got the bright idea of selling a lot of autodimming mirrors with map lights this way, I guess.

Same dude who made floor mats an accessory.

Toyota sells it, look in the back or front of your owner's manual.

I got mine from "jcmanuals1" on eBay.

QUICK FIX

Look down into the little hole and with very good light you can see the little washer clip thing. The mirror is faced down, obviously.
When you see the washer thing, poke in a slender tootpick and make sure it is in the washer hole.
Now flip the mirror around and very carefully pull out the tooth pick and ease the screw in and the connection is made along with some carefull screw driving.

I just read this thread and freaked out and refused to let this happen.
