Default Removable sub box

So my sister has a 2x12 box (polk speakers) that she had in her car, and a sony xplod amp. She got a new Lexus GS300, so she said I can have her subs and amp.

I usually lug around my electric bass guitar, amp, and cabinet. I can usually fit 4 people in the car, and the smaller seat folded down with all this crap in there. I prefer to just fold both rear seats down and lay my stuff down there.

If I install the subs in the back, can I have the removable? And I'm talking about a really clean look. I'd want the subs in the back, and if I ever need to travel to a venue, or band pracitce, I can just unhook some wires or something, and then take my subs out. Maybe some sort of clip or something.

I honestly dont even know how to install the amp my car. Can anyone point me in some directions for not just installing an amp and subs, but making it clean and removable?

Well..... just hide your amp say, under the cargo floor and leave the speaker wire accessible on the box.... you may want to run a switch inline of the remote wire so you can keep your amp from running when it's not hooked up to subs...

If the amp is already attached to the box or if you don't want it under the seat, you can buy quick release power connections. I know Parts Express carries them.

i was also wanting to do this, currently have 2 15's that i had in my S10. but might trade to a relative for one 12 (which is more practical considering i have a 4 year old traveling with me at most times!)

I'm searching on parts express, they seem like they carry what I would need I'm just having trouble finding it haha. The way I'm seeing it is having my amp under the cargo floor and having the wires from the amp to the speaker meet half way where it can disconnect. I think I need to take a look at the back seat again so I can see where the wire can come up from.

The high power disconnects are:
Part # Description
263-110 8 guage connector
263-120 4 guage connector
263-115 2 guage connector
263-112 1/0 guage connector

These are just if you want to make the amp removable. If you are going to mount the amp permanently in the car, just get install terminals or a terminal cup in the box.
