Default replacement speaker ohms

Sorry if this is a repost but I have read through several topics trying to figure out if I can just drop in new speakers in the factory locations. I want a better speaker than the factory but when I pulled the dash speakers out today they were 13ohm and my replacement speakers are 4 ohm. Can I just put them in or do I have to put an amp on them?

I wouldn't worry about it. Just go ahead and drop in those new speakers. God knows the Xb speakers are junk.

you will be fine dropping in some aftermarket speakers

however, be careful about how hard you push them using the stock head unit and if possible add an amp down the line

replacing a 13ohm speaker with a 4ohm one means that the stock head unit will be required to put out more power than originally intended....again this is a non issue if you do not blast the stereo often
