Default SAT port switchable?

Would it be possible to have a Y adapter or switch to connected a pie adapter (for my XM Roady2) and an Icruze/Icelink/Neo for my ipod. I know i could just connect both through the PIE but i want to be able to control my ipod from the HU. I already have an iTrip and it worked fine in my old car but just doesn't have the quality i'd like in my tC.(my last stereo had 1 speaker that worked so sound quality wasn't a big concern)

In my mind splicing the 2 devices together with or without a switch would work fine but i don't know a great deal about car electronics and am looking for some advice before i go down to the local shop and waste my time only to find out it can't be done.

The Soundgate Aux3 will do the job. It's what I use. You'll still need the PIE adapter as well

This will be my fall back. It isn't exactly what i'm looking for but if what i am looking for doesn't exist this is definately a possibility.

Let me explain it again. I want the 12-pin(i think) port for the SAT to be switchable (2 things plugged into it) There would be a switch that would go back and forth from the PIE adapter and the seperate ipod adapter(the ipod adpater allows me to control ipod form the HU aswell as charge it)

This solution would switch the signal going into the PIE which doesn't exactly accomplish what i want.

It's exactly what you need, you just don't realize it yet.
