Default Scion stereo adaptor

Has anyone had any problems with the stereo adaptor in the following link?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

I was just asking because recently the wire i run to power the amp is not working anymore, and the checked the adaptor for anything that may have burned out but its fine.

i remember this part from last summer.. someone said it was passed off as a true toyota part but it was not. as far as working i recall someone saying it didn't work all that great..

others have have more ideas, but a simple speaker to line level adapter could also help you too.. www.crutchfield.com has some...

also about this part you showed on ebay..
might try a search for last summer on this forum and clubsciontc or yoursciontc.com can't remember where i saw it..

There are no official Scion radio adapters on the market as of yet (i think) the standard is a toyota, but even that will take hard wiring. best (well, the easiest) is to tke your car to Best Buy and ask what they would do, or suggest and roll from there.

Default Scion Stereo Adapter

You might want to check all grounds and check the amp wire, maybe it got pinched or something, this adapter works fine for me!

Best Buy sells a Toyota adapter for 18 bucks and they say "yeah I think that should work" after checking their systems... I'd buy the same adapter elsewhere for cheaper (BUT I WAS IMPATIENT AND DID WASTE MY $ - ) I still felt uncomfortable because it didn't have all the wires (ie there were more wires to the scion deck than on the adapter - The good news is that the wires they did have were correct.. I bought a cheap wire tester to confirm the power wires and i was able to confirm the rear speaker adapters were correct. Since I was keeping teh deck and just adding an inline converter - i just needed amp turn on and rear speaker wiring.....
