setting up new system... need help
I will be having the following installed:
- Pioneer DEH-P7700MP cd/mp3 player
- kicker kx350.2... 350 x 1 rms
- kicker kx350.4... 90 x 4 rms
- jl audio XR components and TR rear coaxial speakers
i'm fairly new to car audio stuff and i just want to make sure this is done right...
i was reading another thread which said i should replace the factory power and ground wires under the hood with the same gauge as the amp wire (4 gauge), correct?
is this difficult to do and where would i get the wires to do this? would it be included in a multi-amp wiring kit?
also, should i use a capacitor and if so what size? anything else i should consider?
i would appreciate any advice.

with the amount of power your amps are pushing, I doubt you'll need a capacitor or upgraded factory grounding....
something to consider, use the 4 channel amp for the front XR components, and power the rear TR coax's with the rear channel from the HU....this will give you a super solid front stage and just enough rear fill....then you can balance them out so you barely hear the rears....maybe use the x-overs to achieve an ambience effect from the rear....
