They both put out the same amount of light. The difference is the base ST is a 90 angle and the XSST is straight down. I had to use the XSST in my LHS but the ST work in the tC.

"low beam applications for four-headlight systems, two on each side or in some cases as a fog light (maximum 60W). "

so if i buy 4 silverstar bulbs, 2 for each side it increases to 60w, would that burn the wires by any chance?

Um... huh? Are you talking about the high beams? Those are 9005. I don't think you can fit two 9006 bulbs on each side.

I haven't seen silverstars burn wires, but I have seen them burn prematurely a few times. I don't suggest them, because they're overpriced and don't look that great. The blue luminics is nice, and so is Thunder Gp 7500k bulbs. I've had my GP for around 6-7 months now, now premature burnouts and no wire probs.

You would buy 2 9006ST for low beams and 2 9005ST for high beams.

If you have the fogs, you would buy ANOTHER 2 9006ST.

And they would have ZERO problems with your wires. I'm not sure where you got that "increases to 60" part...

The bottom light is known as accent light, the top one is obviously your low beams.
