Default Slowing Down my tC! -Pics-

Well it had to be done eventually! I am just not responsible enough to handle the speed of the tC. So i had to add some weight to slow it down! I used:

Pioneer DEH8500MP CD/MP3/WMA Head Unit
Rockford Fosgate P4004 50wx4 4 Channel Amp
Rockford Fosgate P3001 300wx1 Mono Amp
Rockford Fosgate P162s Punch 6.5" Components
Rockford Fosgate T62s Power 6.5" Coaxials
Rockford Fosgate P312D4 Punch DVC 12" Subwoofer
Custom .85ft^3 Sealed Encolsure (Built for my old Alero, not my tC)

Before anyone starts to question why i bought the stuff I did, or my box or anything... I bought all of the above when I worked for best buy about a year ago. That is why i went all RF. The ebst they had at the time. And I got it all real cheap. The box was also custom built for my Alero, not the tC. As of right now... it works. Now.. for thie pics.

I mounted the sub amp right next to the sub box... you cannot even see it. I didnt want to lose my spare tire.. and the 4channel is HUGE and it is on the right side of the spare tire.

ALSO there is a pic of me holding a little crimp cap in here... i found that in my door... a couple actually! Damn line workers!

The Head Unit install can be found here...

All of the pics can be found here:

For you lazies out there...
Front Components installed: Dual Tweeters...

Rear Coaxials installed:

Sub!

Amp!

Thanks for reading all! It was a TON of work, but worth it! It sounds pretty good to me! Although removing and re-installing so many interior pieces caused a few rattles... its unavoidable.

I thought about putting my amp down underneath the carpet but aren't you afraid of it overheating down there?

Default I had overheating problems until i did this...

I stole a fan out of my PC & cut a hole above the hidden amp. It dont overheat no more even under full load. BTW its a USAcoustics 800RMS 2 channel amp. Check it out @ www.cardomain.com/id/xero187 , just scroll down to see the fan under the audio install.

no overheating, i honestly, have never heard of a mondern day amp overheating at all. I have driven for hours straight with it pounding to.

yeah the carpet is a bit messed up by now lol.

i love how you spend 15 hours doing something to your car and people always find the one detail you overlooked.

haha, i appreciate the input though!

Looks pretty cool! I would have picked the double-din GPS, althought I have already got two GPS system in my car, thinking of throwing the two out and get a real GPS in-dash! Good for you though

You should be careful with this setup in the pic.....the wire is running between the ring on the mid and the baffle....that's pinching the speaker wire....could cause problems later down the road.....
