Default Randode Cold Cathode vs Scion Lights

Which do you guys think is better?

Can you turn them on and off at will or only when the headlights are on?

Thanks in advance fellow Box'ers for your help!

Go with Randode! I have heard that they are much brighter and cost a whole hell of a lot less then Scion lights! I have the Scion lights and they look good, but could be a little brighter.

I have the Randode set and like them alot. Than can be wired to come on w/o the running lights being on.

I can get the Scion Lights for the same $$ as the Randode ones.

So with cost not being an issue, who has the Scion Lights and is happy with them?

Randodes are the best (though kind of over priced... haha sorry randode).

Why? Brighter, and not only that easy installation (sorta), and the lights can be interchangeable, you can get different cathodes and install different ones with out a problem!

I would say randode as well b/c of the color choice and brightness.

Are they just wired through the cigarette lighter or something?

Ok guys here it is:

Ranode Cathodes great deal for the money. They are hella brite and easy to install.

The factory LEDs are subtle but are very rich in color. The LEDs have a good consistant color and do not need to warm up at all. I bought some Cathodes for under my seat and they are almost blinding to look at. They fill up the entire car but its hard to see past the light. In my tC I have converted my light from blue to red and the cathodes cannot touch my LEDs with their true red color. The Cathodes are more of an Orangey red color. If I was you and you dont want to be blinded by neons go LED. But if you want the inside of your car to light up really brite go Cathode.

I agree LED light is richer and the colors truer, but I still can't suggest getting the Scion kit. You can buy LED light bars for much cheaper - think 10 LEDs shining out instead of two reflecting down a tube. There are instructions on this site for installation. It's really easy...

If you're not a DIYer, I'd say Randode...

I see...

I did of course notice the brightness. LEDs will match the subtleness of the other led lights (radio, speedometer, odometer).

Hey, just wonderin...Since I have the randode kit, is there an LED bar thatll hook up to the randode inverters? Or its only made for the randode cathodes?

The inverter puts out about 600v. Do not connect an LED to the inverter.
