i installed ym sub no problems.... but now my merriors dotn work any ideas as to what the hell happined????!!!?!?!?!?!

popped a fuse?? what kind of sub/amp did you install... maybe tapped the wrong wire for something?? but fuse is the only thing that would make sense

oh and btw the stereo dosetn work either where are the fuses at that i should check?

i think theres a fuse that control like a bunch of the stuff in the front of the car, like clock, stereo, dash, dome light, ect... I did it on my last car once haha thats how i know

clock and such works its just stereo merriors and cig lighter..... where ist he fuse??? is it in the ones inside the car by the kick panel or is it the box under te hood??? and how do i get to the interior ones i can se tem but have no idae how to get tem out

come on people when you install something disconnect ground that will help from shorting things out and research research research make sure of what your doing anyways it sounds like a simple fuse good luck

ya i did have the ground disconnnected i connected the rem to the power line for HU and im thinkin i blew the ACC fuse

ok found and repaired. the wire had gotton cut by a screw causing it to arc and poppin my acc fuse i replaced the fuse and wire and it works thanks guys!

^^ he claims he did have it disconnected.. things will still pop once he reconnects it tho...

its okay.. in my previous car, had a friend help me install subs and amp.. worked great for about a week... then one day subs were out... fuse kept popping... on the main power line.

turns out when putting the trim peices back in, he ran a screw for the foot peice where a clutch would go? (02 jetta) thru the power wire... just took a week of getting in/out ect for me to press it the rest of the way thru to the body can cause it to ground out... boy did he feel bad.. he used to own his own audio shop for like 10yrs

I don't know if you still are having this problem, but in your manual, it will show you were all the fuse boxes area and what fuse is what inside them.

Good luck, sorry you arre getting bashed. It seems to happen more and more here???...

no one bashed. they thought he made a very avoidable mistake. and no one is hating. if they were hating, that would mean they were jealous and trying to make you feel stupid so they could make themselves feel better. relax and learn to take some criticism every once in a while.
