Default Something happened to my cd player yesterday

So I was driving, listening to the new syesem cd when I decide to change cd's.
The display starts flashing ERROR 4.
What is with that?

If you have the factory HU, take it to the dealer and they'll be able to tell you what the code means... It may just be an unreadable CD.... wrong format, scratched, anything like that....or it could be internal....

So I called the dealership and they said that ERROR 3 is a jammed cd.
I said thats cool but what about the cd.
He said if they cant get the cd out at the dealership they would have to ship it out to the factory so I wouldn't get my cd back for a month.
It really sucks because I just bought that cd yesterday!!!
It's the new system cd

he can't clean it if he can't remove it. . . if it is a jammed cd, it's not coming out, unless you ship it out. I hear it is common for in dash changers. . . I know the IS300 OEM deck (Fujitsu-Ten, not Pioneer) was prone to jam.

try hitting eject over and over, it might just come out.. keep trying.. if that doesn't work turn the radio off and back on and repeat hitting the eject button..

I had to do this with a defective stock tC headunit.. I am on my third headunit and so far this one is working fine, the 2nd one I had wouldn't eject the cd's either and weird error codes would come up.. I finally kept hitting eject over and over and over and it popped it out.. try that and let us know what happens, easier than having to give the radio up.. also i would call scion and let them know..

You're not alone in this! there are many many defective pioneer headunits out there and the dealer should just install a new one, NOT try and repair yours.. other than getting the cd out, they should replace it!
