Default Something odd occurred!!! [stereo overheat?]

Well ya i was driving to San leandro and back running the 6 cd changer the whole time for about 30 mins. Suddenly it shuts off and wont turn on again. Got home and read the manual and it said that the deck over heated so i have to give it some time to cool. Must be the heater since i was using it the whole time. Still pretty odd. Scion still rocks tho.

How loud were you running it? It shouldn't overheat unless you were really pushing it!

Perhaps you have a leak in the heater that is blowing on the back of the electronics?

easy fix guys, just tap the power wires, and put in a 12 volt computer fan, you can even install a switch or if your real good, a heat sensor to turn on when the temp reaches a certain temp. placing it above or right behind the stereo would be best. attach using some zip ties or what not. try to get a slient running one.
