Tein all the way ... The tein suspension is FULLY adjustable both height and damper ... the TRD is fixed at one hight and damper setting.

Planning on Auto-Xing or track racing your tC?
Do you have access to a spring dyno and a chassis scale?
Have you already upgraded to lightweight wheels, better tires (preferably something R-compound) and upgraded your brakes?

If you answer no to one or more of these questions, you'll be wasting your money on an SS kit, and buying it purely for the pretty green and JDM bling. 99% of the people who drive their cars every days go nowhere near the potential of the car's stock setup, much less the potential of something like the SuperStreet.

Spending the money to buy it is the easy part-- then you have to set it up and tune it, which few people have the equipment or knowledge to do.

If you're a daily driver, and want to make your claims, buy some Basics. If you want to have an easy install that you never need worry about again, but the TRD package.

Based on the simple fact that you asked this question to begin with... you don't need an SS kit. You might want one, and that is indeed your prerogative, but I hate to see a fine suspension kit go to waste.

*raises hand* I DO, I DO!!

Comes in handy having a buddy that builds and races late model modified stock cars. He and I talked about setting up coilovers for my cavalier, so it would be easy.

Would I auto-x the box? never know. I never really "planned" to auto-x the cavalier, but I did.

I do get your point about coilovers though. Most people buy them, simply as a method of getting more drop, never really setting up or tuning them correctly.
