Default sub trouble

I have 3 10" w6's in my car and they have been workin pretty well up until now.. i run the bass at a reasonable level, not excessive but enough to feel a lil bump, and on occasion the bass just stops working... its not that theres not enough power cause my car has like 13.0-13.4 volts when this happens... it seems like everytime i bring it back to tweeter it works fine and then it will just kick out again... i am upgrading the alternator in a few weeks or so, do u think this will solve the problem? if not do any of u have tips?

The voltage is ok! Check all connection, and maybe add a cap.

Thats weird, I would still check all connections! I am sure someone else will have a better idea or suggestion.

ok you have a broken power connection somewhere, all becasue your reading the right voltage doesnt mean crap ...i learned, if your sub cuts in and out and after a few minutes it turns back on, you have a bad connection somewhere , start under the hood and head back to the cap then to the amp and redo everything ...like reconnect all the ends, will work fine after that and wont give you anymore trouble, where did you ground your amp to?
