Default Subs in the hatch? (xA)

Has anyone put 6.5" or 8" subs in the rear hatch of the xA?

I'm looking for a semi-stealth install with little to zero cargo room loss.

We haven't done it yet, but here is a picture of a stealth install we did on a Nissan 350z. The subwoofer used was a Peerless XLS 10". Its ~ $175 shipped. Something like that can easily be done in an xA.

Wow, Peerless is still around!?! I had some of their 6 inchers and tweeters back in 1982, along w/some Morel tweeters in 1984. Good stuff at a really good price back then. A buddy of mine had 18(?) 5.25 mids in his hatch.

Yep, they are still around. While I don't have your experience with Peerless, we've sold quite a few of those subs because of the space requirements our customers want. They are awesome subs, and a 10" can fit into a 0.4 ft³ sealed enclosure. And speaking of Morel, that particular Z had the Morel elate series components in it as well

To the original poster, here are some pics of a toyota matrix subwoofer setup. It was done back in Dec 2004 by someone off another forum. It should help give you some ideas on what to do. The first 2 pics have 4 Image Dynamic ID8v3's are going in the panels powered off 1 Zapco 9.0. The 3rd picture is a Polk Audio Momo sub with a MMats amp.

I have found that the xA is a good little car for sound. It doesn't take much to get a lot of volume.
