Default subs for the new tC

now i just went to the dealer the other day, and checked out the car and all. to my amazement, i never new the tC was a hatchback. now, i thought i could transfer my 12 inch sony explods over, but since it's a hatchback, it might be a problem. i'm not sure how the subs will affect the sound inside, since there is no real barrier between me and the trunk. can anyone help me or give me some good tips? thanks in advance!!

I know theres a factory sub available, so if those work yours should. In my grand am I fold the seats down to get the open air between me and the sub, it sounds better IMO. I would think the hatchback will serve this purpose 24/7 since thier isnt a barrier really.

so since there is no barrier, it won't affect your ears, or there won't be any change in the bass you feel/hear?

Actually you will hear a difference. Depending on the enclosure and the position of the subs there will be a pretty big bass boost in there due to the hatch. Basically your subs will use that as a loading chamber and tend to really boost certain frequencies as its bangin off that glass. I would suggest a couple of bulk packs of dynamat extreme to help kill all that damn rattles. I absolutely hate that ____..some guy will go out and spend mad money on a class D amp to push over a 1000 watts to his sub so we can hear everything from his bumper , license plate and gas tank rattling around, but wont spend a couple hundred bux to deaden everything. just my .02 worth.
