i need help!

this may sound stupid, but i tried to change my parking lights (little bulbs) when i got it out i could not figure out how to get the bulb out of the plastic harness,
for fear of braking anything i put it back in and have not messed with it yet
it looked like the bulb was connected to the harness

anyone who can tell me how they have changed this bulb please help me out

try deleting your other two posts.

as far as that goes...umm in the xB it seemed that way as well. So you need to look at the bulb. Some buld you have to turn and then pull out. Others you just yank out. Hope this helps.

thanx for the reply but i think you misunderstood

i took the harness and light out of the enclosed headlight assembly by turning and then pulling like you said but i after i got it out to look at the wirng harness attached to the light it didnt look like the light came out of the harness
i tried to turn and pull it out .. carefully but it wouldnt come
i then matched up the 4 square "corners" to put it back and turned 1/4 turn to lock into place into headlight assemby

does that sound a little more clear?

bare w/me its hard to explain without an essay!

I also dont have a tC...try posting this in the ICE section or tC section. Might be more help. I really dont understand but what im getting is you think the light is connected to the wireing harness which I highly doubt. But I dunno. sorry. :oops:

ya im with you on that theory, i couldnt imagine changing the whole harness just for a damn light bulb, im not familiar with the ice but ill try and check later

the bulb is a 194 you just pull it out of the black sleeve that surrounds it.

actually i didnt have time to mess with it any more yesterday i had school last night but i should have a chance after work today

ya it helps a lot, i work full time for an electrical engineering company and go to school 2 nites a week so i am short on time during week days, even if it is only a 10-minute job
it will definitly be done by saturday

asi expected i need to spend some more quality time w/ my car, i changed the bulbs to blue apc 194's in less time than an eminem song
so what im trying to say is thanx for helping me and im sure ill be asking other questions later

oh.. i mean..... i already knew how to do it i just wanted to see if anyone else did.
