Tweeters for the dash?
#2
Dremel makes a tool that will cut through anything, including the metal in the stocks tweeter brackets
I've seen someone who did that.. they dremeled out the stock speaker and mounted their tweeter in there. I'd be worried about getting the speakers sufficiently aimed at your head more than how to stick them in there. You could also surface-mount or flush mount the tweeter into the grille itself.

The easiest way to mount up there is to get a sheet of ABS plastic and cut it to fit the opening. Then drill out a hole for the tweeter and mount it . It's very clean and easy compared to other methods.
The way the dash opening is aiming the tweeters will not do much good. If you leave them facing straight up the reflection from the dash will disperse the sound just fine.

Plumber's strapping... works for everything... Use it on the other half of the component to create a coaxial (I assume this is what you were asking). If not, you can always dremel the stock opening to accomodate the tweeter cups.
