Anyone know of a stock Shallow-mount speaker box for the underseat of an XA? hould fit an 8" or 10" shallow-mount sub.

sounds like it'd have to be made custom... I don't think any underseat boxes are in the workinga for the xA... how much clearance is there under the seat?

 

seems to tight to fit, not alot of based from that. might as well just change your rear speakers to hit lower.

 

And what sized speaker is the biggest you can jam in there?

 

With a baffle, you may be able to put some Elemental Designs Eu-700's in there.... they are a 6.5" speaker that can be used as a mid in your door, an Infinite baffle, a sealed box, a ported box... all kinds of things...

The problem with this second one is they don't give you a good measure of how deep it really is. Also, what other elements would need to go into the overall space consideration? For example, how much does one of these speakers flex? How much clearance should be left for the speaker to 'speak?'

the XA doesn't have much room under the seat, for sure, but I've heard of peeps building them. I don't need a tremendous amount of bass, just a good supplement to what's already going on.

 

well, I'm back to the Eu-700's....main reason being is that 2 of these guys in a sealed box only need .6ft^3 TOTAL airspace.... and 2 of them would be comparable to a 10" generally speaking....
