I think you will get twenty different answers. Best thing to do is listen to someones system.

Personally I loveeee Infinity Kappa stuff. I have there subs as well as 6.5 and 5.25 in my xb. Can't beat the price either if you find the stuff on ebay.

I have all infinity kappa series in my box, and I love it. Live concert CDs sound OUTSTANDING.

You could also consider the infinity basslink. It adds some good bass without being really overpowering. But when I listen to hip hop or techno, there isn't enough bass for me.. sounds great with rock though

CDTaudio HD or Eurosport line along with a new Panasonic 9800u head unit that has a built in 60x4 RMS amp built right in. I think if you don't want to make any serious mods to your car such as drilling holes in the a-pillars for tweeters you should consider the 6.5" CDT braxials. and tie the dash tweeter in on the cdt crossover.

Alpine!!!!!! As far as the head unit goes anyways. Its got the same wattage as the panasonic, but better sound. Infinity speakers are awsome, alpine type r, or s's, polk db's ok.

i have all infinity speakers in my xb6.5 in front and 5.25 in back and im running them off a 4 channel mtx audio amp , im still using the scion hu and it sounds great very clear, i recoomend buying component speakers for the front cause it makes the biggest difference in the clarity for vocals

personally id chose
any eclipse head unit
cdt audio or a/d/s or diamond (just to name a few) for your component sets
then a good quality amp

Nakamichi probably makes some of the clearist decks out there. Eclipse another great deck, Alpine also. For speakers a set of Boston Acoustic Pro series(speakers love power 200+ watts a side, but pricey) CDT makes very good speakers but seem to be oversized and very deep. Diamond Audio Hex series another good option. You will need a good 2 channel or 4 channel amp. Look into PPI, XTANT, Phoneix Gold, Soundtsream, Kicker, Hifonics is very good bang for your buck amp. Most important part is your install. Dynamat and make sure everything fits well.
