Even my dealer told me the Bazooka upgrade from the factory wasn't worth the $500 they wanted for it. What should I get for around $300, if you can even get something decent that cheap.

 

It's not worth the $500. Try to find it elsewhere if you'd like it. TRDSparks has it for about $265 or so. That's not as bad. It's cake to install and sounds decent. It's not fantastic of course and you wouldn't win any shows with it. But It's not bad if you're keeping things basic. I got a good deal on mine and think it's just right. Decent bass, but not heart pounding 50 feet away from the car.

You still might be able to find a better deal on a single sub/amp combo from your local audio store - you might spend a little more money but it will probably hit a little harder.

That being said... moved to ICE...

 

You better be getting BOSE for 500.

I've seen several bazooka subs for the tC on eBay for around 250

 

look into other powered subs.....infinity basslink...I think Clarion and Kenwood have powered subs as well....or get a 10" fiberglassed to your sidewall and have an external amp..

 

i spent 400 bucks and i got the whole system hooked up. i got a kicker 10" package ( 2 10 inch subs already wired in the box.) at circuit city, i got a sony amp (500 watts) and it really pounds good, im really impressed. check out circuit city.com they got it on there, its the livin loud kicker package.

 

Infinity will give you the best bass out of the Clarion Kenwood and Bazooka handsdown.
