Window Door Lock Prob
Ok this is my prob. I was installing new doors on my XB and I needed to lengthen the wiring harness inside the doors that lead to the kick panels. Well I re-wired everything and now my windows don't go up or down and my doors don't lock or unlock. When I go to wind the window down the LEDs in my air vents dim.
Anyone have any ideas? I am guessing the simplist answer would be I got some wires crossed up when lengthening the wire harness. Any idea what specific wires they might be? :?:

sounds like you have some wires crossed...
did you cut and extend the wires one at a time...
did you solder or crimp the wires...
sounds like somone did lambo doors......

I cut the whole harness and took the harness in my house and soldered extensions onto the harness. I then went back out ot my car and sat there and soldered each wire back onto the car.
The driver side door is the only one I did like this. The passenger side door I actually took the whole door off and into my house and soldered it one wire at a time.
So I am guessing the problem is on the driver side.

it could be either door...
it took the better part of a day (6 hours) to do the one i did.
one wire at a time...no probs...
i would start with the drivers door only because it has more wires...
pick one wire follow it through , make sure the colors, stripes, dots are the same on bothe ends....
it will take a while, but it is fixable...
if i was closer i would help...

I am assuming this is part of the same problem.
