I planning my system for the xb and I want to put either neones, leds, or cathodes on my sub's box so I was wondering what the easiest way was to have a hidden wire install? I was really wondering if there's any way to install the wires right into the amp. :?:

The only way I run neons when doing custom installs is off a relay, to a cap, to the amp..On the relay you have a terminal for power, ground, and remote.. Only one wire goes to the amp from the relay and that's a remote..All your power and grounds also go to the relay for the neons.. You can get the relay from auto-zone or pepboys, etc. ..Its about the only and best way to run it.. That way if anything bad ever happens your system is protected from surge..Make sure if you have never done this before you can stop by any car audio shop and ask one of the installers to write a small diagram for where the wires go on the relay and they should be able to help.. That's how I learned.. They usually have extra relays you can buy from them for about 3 bucks.. L8R..

My lights are wired straight to the amp one to the ground and one to the remote so it turns off when the car is off. I havent had any problems a relay is the correct way to do it but chances of a neon or cathode surging on you are slim to none.

I've got my LED's wired directly to the speakers, where the lines from the amp plug in. I've got a 470ohm resister on the power line running to the leds, cause I blew a couple of them out without it. It's not a pretty set up, but it looks nice at night when they flash with the bass.

I would just wire them separately and pull the wires under the carpet on your speaker box.
