WTF ghost in my radio
I made a post about this before but it wasnt a huge deal because it only happened once in a while. Now it happens every time I shut my car off. The radio will reset everything on it. If I was playing a CD when I restart the car the radio is on some random station. Then I have to reset all my settings and since my car thinks its a TC when this happens, the music sounds like butt until I get everything back to where it should be. Not that its a major hassle but it still sucks. Is there a wire that feeds battery power to the radio when it isnt on? My clock and everything is still correct along with my tripometers. Anyone help?

I don't think it's a fuse, cause when they blow then the thing just don't work. As far as diagrams it looks as though the ACC and Dome fuse both go into the radio. Why I dunno, but I know the other day I was changing the dome light blew it out and my radio went out with it. Any mods done recently? if not you might end up teking it back to the dealer.

Just bring it in and get it replaced. I'm on my 3rd radio because twice now, when I would adjust the volume it would change the radio station. It usually happened only when it was cold, but still....

I'm not sure if it could be a fuse or not but there are two power sources to the radio. One is a constant power which maintains all of you settings and one is the ACC power that turns the radio on. Either there's a blown fuse on your constant power line or your radio has a problem. If I'm reading the diagram correctly the constant power is on the same fuse as the dome light.

could be a defect in programing too on that specific headunit model. it's rare, but when it happens, 80% of the headunits of that specific model will generaly have a problem one way or another...
only thing i've experienced close enough to that is with a pro audio amplfier made by Crown, the iTech series. lovely and very POWERFUL amplifiers, they have a 16% failure rate when the user doen't update the firmware software for thier DPS and wireless abilities like they are recommended to do BY Crown them selfs.
sorry for the rant but still, it could be possible that it's a program firmware problem.
