Default xB Alternator size?

I searched the forums and I haven't found anything on the alternator.

My question is whats the amperage of the stock alternator?

Thanks.

70 amps.

I asked the same question about a month ago and never got a response. I took it to a alt. mod shop, and they told me.

Hopefully I should be able to increase it to 180, after they are done with it.

I thought I read somewheres that it was like 85-90 stock amps. I'll find out for sure in a couple of days.

Ok I've seached and searched, and even asked Scion directly. As of yet I still have no clue as to how many amps that the alternator puts out.
Anyone have any insight on this? Knowing this will allow me to figure out some upgrades when I do get my xB real soon.

Hi, on January 2020, my xB 2004 with 164k miles, was acting unpredictable. To start the car on cold mornings (New Jersey) needs 12V for the starter, for the fuel pump, for the computer, for the oil to be lifted on the top of the engine, and for the spark plugs. I have a two y.o. Deka battery in good shape. I was to an Electric car store to check the alternator and the battery. Was doing OK. I am driving only 1.5 miles in the Morning and other 1.5 miles back per day. Not too much for charging the battery. One Morning happens that the remote will not open the car doors. The battery had only power for the interior lights. I was on internet to find a replacement for the Alternator with higher output. I find the brand BNR ($188.73) with 100 Amp, on idle and 200Amp, at 2000 rpm. After installing the new Alternator now I can use an interior electric heater, big wattage headlights, and to charge my phone and laptop.

Also I find on internet how to remove the Alternator without removing the bumper or the passenger wheel.

All work took less than 20 minutes. Please let me know if BNR have a good reputation? Or should I will shop for other Alternator?

Thank you.
