Default xB Speakers and Tweeters

Hello, I have a 04 xB that I really want to put better speakers in. I really dont want to take up any room in the back with subs since that is where I carry my hockey equipment.
Can anyone recommend some good in door speakers and also tweeters for the front? I have been doing my own mods to this car since I bought it new but I am truly a noob on sound!

Thanks for any help!

I've had the CDT Audio CL-61A component set for several years and have been very happy with them. They're powered off of 2 of the channels from an Alpine PDX-4.150. I haven't had anything else in the car and haven't gotten around to installing the Cadence comps I bought for my truck, so I can't really give any other suggestions.

One of the cheapest upgrades you can do to the soundstage is upgrade the dash speakers. It's way easy.

I did the dash and doors and have a Basslink under the passenger's seat. It's perfect for what I want and doesn't take up any trunk space.

Seconded on the dash speakers. The Pioneers are cheap as hell, and it was so easy I did it in an evening. That was my first audio mod and I was kind of scared, but they are absolutely, mind-numbingly better than the stock speakers.

The new dash speakers were definitely louder than the stock DOOR speakers, too. they drown them out. I might still do the doors at some point, out of boredom, but my goal was to build a sound system that still sounded good at 80 MPH with all the windows down, and the Pioneer dash speakers absolutely accomplished that. the oversized hole made it stupid-easy, too

I predict you'll be back for a sub, however.............no midrange speaker is going to produce outstanding bass, and the stock rears can't really produce enough bass to keep up....I carry lots of cargo on a fairly regular basis, and I haven't had space issues with the Bazooka Tube. It really is fairly small, and it's easy to wedge stuff in around. I put mine on a little plywood stand (instead of screwing it into the rear) and it's easy to slide over or move around. Or just put your bag on top of it....they're very durable :3

I put one in my boyfriend's xA, too, and if you think YOU have issues with a small cargo bay, talk to some of the xA owners ;)

Here's a link to bazooka tubes for UNBELIEVABLE-cheap:
http://scionpartspeople.com/SearchPr...fer+by+Bazooka
it's a dealership in washington that must have ordered 20 or 30 dozen of these things right before the xA/xB were discontinued....since they're selling them for like $250 off list price, lol.
i've bought two. $96 is just too good to pass up.

then just switch your head unit to a 2007 or 2008 Yaris HU, to get AUX capability on the cheap (unlike your 04 xB HU), and you'll have an amazing system for under $200! :D
