Default XM Interface Cable

Hello,
I've ready many threads on this forum about the lack of an interface to the stock pioneer head unit. This had me really depressed since I wanted a direct connection for an XM commander I'm going to install. I heard the fm modulator had poor quality sound and didn't want to use that. For obvious financial reasons I'm not shelling out the money for the stock XM tuner install from Scion either. Today I stumbled across a website that may have answered my prayers for an auxilliary input converter. Has anyone tried this converter from LogJamElectronics.com? Check out this link and let me know if it will work.

I'm thinking the PIE TOY03-F/MM along with the PIE TOY-AUX may work.

What do yuns think?

Default XM Direct out in June

WooHoo!!! I know it's lame to respond to my own post, but I just found out that this XM Direct device will be available in June according to folks at XMFan.com. Even though it looks similar to the unit that comes with the XM commander, it is different. It is meant to plug directly into XM Ready head units for a clean install which can be controlled by the original head unit. No word on price, but I can't wait til June!

I doubt it'll work... Also, I heard the stock XM system is poop. I'm probably going to get a XM Commander for my xA (if I get XM...buying the receiver is what is holding me back). With the stock unit, you can't preview other channels while listening to another channel. I don't think all the radio text shows up...and you can't transfer it to another car... There were other factors, but I can't remember them...

Default connecting an ipod with this

has anybody tried this?

also, it seems like you could get this harness to convert from the scion input to the regular toyota input and then another converter from the toyota input to rca or minijack input to connect an ipod (my real goal).

i emailed logjam, but haven't heard back.

The Text Display is gonna be based on what box is powering the radio...my current Pioneer Unit(GEX-900) only does 8 characters if I remember correctly...which in most cases works out fine...previewing a channel? it is'nt incredibly useful..and you really should be paying attention to the road rather than trying to see whats on another station...some people wanna keep a stock look and the Blitz adapters work well...as they have been endorsed by XM for use in High End BMW's...
