Ok, I havent seen this discussed here.

When I hit the brake pedal, it makes this loud, "clang" sound. It sounds like metal clanging together, but I have no idea what it is. It only happens sometimes, but mainly when I am hitting it a low speeds and when I am reversing. I cannot figure out wtf it is. it has been this way for quite sometime, but I keep forgetting to inquire.

Anyone?

 

Have you recently worked on the brakes? just askin
It could be that the rear brakes need to be adjusted , self adjusters do not always work. When the shoe gets close enough to grab it may rock them back and forth.

On the fronts same thing , they may be hanging up on something and the sound is coming from the backing plate.

Could be either , or neither of these , or both.

Just check them out.

Do you have your old beer cans rollin around in the back seat?

 

Last time I did brakes was 30k, Im at 61k now. Could have something to do with that. It's just really weird. I dont have access to a jack.stands so I cant check.

Yeah , if your did the brakes at 30k and your at 61k could be just the backlash of the shoes.
