lowering springs
#2
I have Hotchkis and love them so far. They even come with replacement bump stops. The drop is not extensive so the wheels won't tuck too easily but will if necessary. The ride is also much better which is surprising. I have never installed after market springs that ride smoother than stocks. I got mine from Sparks Toyota. They are a great site and have great prices. By the way, check out the parts section, under the features tab along the top. You will find opinions on different springs for the xB there.

I also have 17", I just didn't want to slam the box. Too many probs in the past with cars that are too low. The maintinence just seemed too much of a hassle. The Hotchkis go down about 1.5" inches after settling. Since you want lower you'll probably want to check Goldlines or Tenabe. More people tend to swear by the Goldlines. Good luck and don't forget to post pics when you get it done.

This should be moved to theSuspension & Handling section. Yes, there is a Sticky in that section that lists all the important info. pertaining to springs.
