Default should i be concerned about this?

iv got lots and lots of questions today...
but i took my shock out and found this

left side

right side

left side bolts and such of left and viseversa.

should i be concerned about this? i cleaned them with a wire brush. the perch looks fine now but the piece with the rubber seal still looks kind bad after cleaning.

More than likely just surface rust, I am sure that it is due just to the location of the opening to elements... You should be fine, but I would hit it with some sand paper and spray paint before anything just to be on the safe side

just to be safe id sand off the surface rust and spray it with a rust stoping primer.
