I hear a lot of you guys talking about how far this kit can slam your xB, and I think we have established that you can basically drop it to the ground, but isn't anyone else concerned with the performance of the system.
I for one am kind of nervous about changing the spring rates without changing the dampers - wouldn't that defeat the purpose of going with a coilover setup in the first place?

listen to the man...he's completely sane!!!

its pretty established...progress kit is versitle with performance, show, street. lower it, raise it, enjoy it and not costing you a ton of quid. if your absolutely against taking a few inches out of a very long throw stock shock...you can purchase monroes from napa for 63bucks a pair.

Performance is the main subject, yes. But, the biggest attraction that has been brought up since day one was Progress coilovers are the "lowest" and "cheapest" coilover set up out there. Thats what everyone at Progress wanted to get out, at least, that was my impression.

Honestly in terms of performance, i don't know how progress does in an actual track environment. However, i do know what Jic and Hks does and thats who i'd go with until/unless i see a video or in person of a car with progress coilovers on a track.

i must say...your all over the place. lol. i highly doubt any information i post is going to convince you either way. Now you want me to put my xB on a track and take video to convince you. Progress specifically produced this kit for the reasons i've stated. If they wanted to make a bagillion valved coilover setup they would have and tossed the selling price your way...thats not what this kit is. I'm sure you'll be very happy with the 2 products you just posted. 99.9% of all xA and xB's and hell Echos will NOT see track time. If you are? i can make much better suggestions then even the 2 you posted. Try Ohlin but break out the check book.

good luck

Jeff

to see they actually do race car valving and products...feel free to visit them and look around...try motorsport or gallery http://www.progressauto.com/

???? About these. If I am reading correctly, the Rears are only the Springs and the perches, right? I would rather not mess with my shocks since my Sub Box covers access the rear top mounts.

Also, Do you ened to compress the springs before installed or do they go staight on out of the box?

straight on out of the box. when you remove the lower shock bolts the entire system lowers down. giving you space to insert the new perch/spring system.

Jeff, i just want to see your box lowered as low as it can go just to see if what you are saying is truth. I autox, so obviously performance is key. But like i said above, Progress has been "selling the product as the cheapest, reliable, and lowest drop coilover system out there" which is why i keep asking for pictures. The pictures you posted before works, thats great but i'd really like to see the entire box whenever you get a chance.

As for the videos, you don't need to video me anything. It would be nice to see someone make a video but yeah..

I'll take side shots with it lowered as far as i can possibly do ....after all of the 18" of snow goes away.

at no point was it stated as being the lowest system out there because if you pay almost 2times the amount of this setup...you can go a bit lower...and i do mean...a very little bit. I can get the rear further like i said and i'm limited in the front with my rim tire selection. Shame...the rims i have now come 4 lug specific and 35mm offset. Best i can personally do with my own vehicle.

like on page 2....at least this shows both wheels on one side of the car

So, are you saying the wheels you have now come in a more scion friendly offset, Lip?

sure do.

4 lug specific... 35mm offset. We made a decision to sell wheels only and not wheel tire packages because of shipping companies. When shipping rims...they are in boxes...packages come strapped and cardboard wrapped etc. This was the bottom one of a package we sold and had a couple lip blemishes from Fed Ex so now we sell rims only.

i WISH my offset was this 35mm and 4x100 specific

btw...let me know when you go to the glen...maybe i'll go. The problem with the glen is...that first uphill requires some torque...that track is perfect for a torquey powerplant.

if you've been to the glen...this pic looks familiar
