Yes, another Rear Disc Brake post!
I only have one question:
If you are modifying the rotors to fit the hub are you planning on having extra rotors on hand? I know rotors last a good while, but you can only turn them so many times before they get too thin.

Yes, thats the plan. I want to get the first set done and tested. Then the plans are to make up about 10 conversions, to see how they sell. In which I will order extra rotors so while the kit rotors are getting CNC machined I will have extra rotors machined as well. So I will have extra rotors on hand. This will also allow the guys wanting to do a DIY the components to help their conversions out as well.
I hope you recover well & quickly from your surgery.
Would you be willing to also sell just the bracket & give the specs for turning down the hub so the stock MR2 rotor would fit?
I understand wanting to sell a bolt-on kit. But for me I'd rather get the hub machined once then be able to pick up all the parts at my local parts store. Rather than have to either keep coming back to you for rotors, or having to get rotors custom machined years down the line.

Im curious when you get a bolt on kit finished how much it would be. I realize its not done yet but doesnt hurt to plan ahead. And I know these would be a big hit with everyone.

Mike, hope your elbow is feeling better. For some reason I wasn't getting notices on this topic so I'm back in touch now.
I'm liking the new caliper position. Nice match for the front. Don't people realize that most rear discs are solid. They do so little braking that slotted ones are overkill. I will be putting so little miles on the xB that a set of your machined rotors will last me for many years. I'm so excited about this kit getting close to a release.

Jeff, thanks for the concern. Elbow is doing alot better, should get the stiches out tomorrow. I've been in a cast for the last week, now I've just got a brace. I shouldn't have posted this brake build till I got it done. Its been just dragging along, with all kind of interuptions! Leave it to me to screw something else to slow the progress down.
Hey guys, thanks for understanding. You really set my mind at easy! I will get back on this as soon as I can use both arms again. I will keep you posted with the progress.
hey bro, if its an help you could ask berry bonds for some "help" to get over you injury quicker. i think its awsome what your atleast trying, hope you are able to get back on it soon. btw, if it does work out, put me down for one for an xA
Hope everything works out with the healing process. I have a feeling once you've completed this you will have many more buyers than sets available...so congrats on being on the good side of supply and demand ha ha. I'll be waiting for a set myself...saving now.
